2013 edition of the Custom Collection series made by Fender Custom Shop brings a total of ten instruments. Eight of them are six-string electric guitars, while the electric basses get two spots. Both of them are taken up by the Precision Bass. This particular model is 1951 Relic Precision Bass. This model comes with the classic double-cut body made of ash. Body is solid, flat on the top and equipped with bolt-on neck joint. There is no top wood cover on this model`s body. Also, there`s no binding featured around the edges. Vintage-styled plastic pickguard is installed on the top. Aged Lake Placid Blue, Melon Candy and Tangerine Candy color options are finished in nitrocellulose gloss. Bridge section is a single-piece and it features a vintage-styled cover above it. There`s only one pickup on this model, it`s made by Seymour Duncan and installed in the middle position. Controls section includes master volume and master tone knobs. Neck on this model is made of maple, it`s quarter-sawn and equipped with U contour in the back. It is topped with a classic 20-fret fingerboard made of maple. Frets are marked with black dot inlays.
