ESP`s AP series leans on the legacy of the classic Fender basses, sporting a clever mix of vintage design and modern playability and tone. For now, it will only be available in LTD variant and with one model (ESP is really careful with the introduction of this new line). The name of the model is AP-204. It belongs to one of the lower intermediate LTD tiers and brings a super solid specs list considering its position. Fusion of the classic Precision and modern ESP design elements, bolt-on construction, passive electronics and modern hardware are its main features. AP-204 is a solid and flat-top bass with a mahogany boy and maple neck. The body is covered with a Precision-like pickguard (black, made of plastic), while the neck is topped with a 21-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. The fingerboard features XJ frets, 1.50" molded nut, 15.75" radius and miniature dot inlays. The pickups found on this vintage/modern four-string are ESP Designed LDJ in the bridge and LDP in the middle/neck position. Volume, balance and stacked 2-band EQ make up the controls. LTD tuners and LTD DB-4 bridge complete the specs list.
