Pace Bass is something completely different from the standard bass lineup made by Dean Guitars. This is an electric upright bass with a solid body. The concept is fairly new and Dean is among the very few brands with such instruments in their catalogs. This upright four-stringer is made for players who either already play an acoustic upright bass, or want to switch from the standard electric to upright electric. Pace Bass comes with a solid maple body made with neck-through construction. It is available only in classic black with gloss finish and black hardware. Pace Bass is equipped with a piezo pickup installed beneath the surface. It has a standard set of controls. Neck is also made of maple and it`s topped with a fretless maple fingerboard.
