For 2014, Ibanez is introducing the brand new range named Ibanez Bass Workshop. This section will be home of some of the most advanced electric basses with Ibanez badge. A total of four models are being introduced into the initial lineup of this remarkable series and SRF705 is one of them. Basically, what we have here is the five-string version of the SRF700 model. SRF705 comes with a solid and double-cut body, fretless fingerboard, neck-through construction and mixed electronics. Body of this five-stringer is made of mahogany wings and maple/bubinga neck in the middle. Mahogany wings are glued onto the neck. There is no decorative wood cover, as Ibanez tends to keep it simple and elegant in this series. Hardtail bridge on the top is fit with four adjustable saddles and a piezo pickup. In the front, a Pair of five-string Bartolini MK-1 soap bar pickups is installed. All three pickups have their own volume and tone knobs. Maple and bubinga neck is fast, slim and very comfortable. On it`s top, Ibanez installs a fretless rosewood fingerboard.
