Edge series is Dean`s main electric base line. It offers modern design, (mostly) passive electronics and 24-fret fingerboards (over standard 34" scales). New 2017 models also include a refreshed Edge 1 5-String. The MSRP for this stripped-down rocker is set at $304.00 (with price set at $199.00).
Edge 1 5-String comes in with a flat-top, offset body made entirely of basswood. Satin Natural (with black hardware, black headstock veneer and no binding) is the only available color option. The (C-shaped) neck is made of maple and is bolted to the body. 24-fret rosewood fingerboard (with 16" radius and 1-3/4" PPS nut) tops the sleek neck.
Five-saddled hardtail bridge, single DMT Design humbucker (in bridge position) and die-cast tuners complete this no-frills bass.
