Green Line is Hofner`s series of environmentally friendly classical guitars. All models made under the GL badge feature bodies and necks made of locally sourced tonewoods, as well as eco-friendly finishes. Walnut, maple, and spruce harvested from German forests are the pillars of Green Line series. The current roster has five main models, with a couple more models shared with Master and Limited Editions series. Green Line HGL8 comes in with a non-cutaway body, 12th fret dovetail neck joint, vintage styling, 25-3/5" scale, and stock hardware. Hofner makes and sells this model only in natural color (w/gloss finish, gold-plated hardware, and beech binding). Main construction features include smoked larch back & sides, solid spruce top, alder neck, 19-fret bog oak fingerboard, bog oak bridge, and classical tuners.
