Hofner`s Green Line series offers classical guitars made of locally sourced tonewoods and treated with environmentally friendly lacquers. The current roster is dominated by indigenous species of spruce, walnut, and maple. It currently has five HGL models, with a couple more models shared with Master and Limited Editions series. Green Line HGL5 is the most affordable Green Line option. It sports a non-cutaway classical body, 12th fret dovetail neck joint, electronics-free construction, 25-3/5" scale, and vintage styling. Hofner makes and sells HGL5 nylon-stringer in natural color with gold-plated hardware and gloss body & neck finish. Other notable features include laminated walnut back & sides, solid AA-grade spruce top, solid neck made of alder, 19-fret fingerboard made of bog oak, bog oak bridge, and classical tuning pegs.
