Hofner was founded in 1887 in Hagenau Germany as a musical instrument manufacturer. Classical guitars entered Hofner`s catalog in 1930, of which they remain one of the main pillars to this day. Today, Hofner`s classical guitar range offers dozens of models, ranging from beginner and student models and all the way to the boutique-level instruments. Classic Series HF 13 is an affordable, hand-made nylon-stringer, made with students in mind. It comes with a non-cutaway body (laminated mahogany back & sides, solid spruce top, black binding, Hofner standard bracing), glued-in mahogany neck (classical profile, 12th fret dovetail joint, 3+3 headstock), 19-fret rosewood fingerboard (1.96" synthetic bone nut, 25.6" scale, flat radius, classical frets, side dot inlays), fixed rosewood bridge, and classical tuners.
