BR-143CE is the only acoustic-electric model of the Historic Craftsman series and it comes with a single-cut orchestra body made of mahogany and spruce. Top panel of the body is equipped with some of the series` standard features and appointments, including black binding, tortoise shell pickguard and multiple circle rosette. Vintage theme of this model further continues with a set of six vintage-styled tuning machines installed on also a vintage-styled headstock. Tuning machines are plated in gold. BR-143CE is available only in natural color with high gloss finish. Bridge section and fingerboard are usually made of same material and Blueridge keeps the tradition by making both parts of rosewood. Fingerboard has 20 frets with dot position inlays. Neck is made of mahogany on this model.
