BG-40 is the basic BG model from the Contemporary series and it comes as a popular slope shoulder dreadnought guitar. This one is made for the beginners and inexperienced players to learn how to play. It comes as a non-cutaway guitar with the body made of mahogany and spruce. Mahogany is also used for the neck on this model, while the spruce is only found on the sound board. This combo is great for beginner`s guitars, as well as for professional models, for it gives a strong and rich tone. This Sunburst dread comes with tortoise binding, tortoise pickguard and single circle rosette. Bridge section and fingerboard are matched and both are made of rosewood. Bridge has a bone saddle, while the fingerboard sports 20 frets with block inlays and 1-11/16" nut.
