DW series is dedicated to non-expensive acoustic-electric guitars. Thus far, there`s three of them in the series lineup and they`re named 1, 2 and 3. 25-1/2" scales, Peavey hardware, high quality electronics and laminated tonewoods (DW-3 has a solid top) mark the DW lineup. DW-3 is the current top model of the DW range. It comes with a flat-top dreadnought body, nice and comfortable neck and a standard fingerboard. Rosewood (back & side) and spruce (sound board) body is paired with a mahogany neck (dovetail joint at the 14th fret) with 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on its top. Unlike the DW-1, DW-3 has active electronics (under-saddle piezo pickup and preamp). Fixed rosewood bridge and die-cast Peavey tuners complete the specs list.
