D45 Authentic 1942 is the flagship model of the Authentic series. It comes wih all-solid construction and very elegant styling. It has a non-cutaway body, which is made of solid mahogany back and sides with solid Sitka spruce sound board. Beneath the sound board Martin installs vintage-styled prewar bracing pattern made of Sitka spruce. This largely helps D45 Authentic to achieve the tremendously realistic prewar tone. Mahogany is also used for the vintage-styled neck on this dread. Neck is equipped with a dovetail joint and barrel contour on the back side. Another awesome appointment, which helps build prewar vibe for this Authentic steel-stringer. Fingerboard on top of this neck is made of ebony and it`s equipped with a standard set of 20 frets with dot position inlays.
