D-45 is a dreadnought-shaped steel-stringer from the Standard series made by Martin Guitars. This model is equipped with some of the finest materials and appointments available to the series. Construction-wise, this model is a non-cutaway six-stringer with modern X bracing on the inner side of the sound board. Bracing is, like the top, made of sitka spruce. Solid sound board is combined with also solid rosewood back and side panels. Elegant mutli-ply binding and tortoise shell pickguard are accompanied by 45 Style rosette and gloss finish. With the price tag set at $10,599, D-45 is one of the most expensive and luxurious dreads available on the market. It features low profile hardwood neck, ebony bridge and fingerboard and gold plated tuning machines.
