D-42 is a dreadnought shaped acoustic guitar from Martin Guitars Standard Series which sports all solid tonewoods, polished glossy finish and hand fitted dovetail joints. This model`s body is made of solid sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides. The top is bound in grained ivoroid and finished in high gloss. D-42 is available in natural color. Sound hole features abalone rosette and tortoise pickguard. The neck is made of hardwood and features low profile and a dovetail joint. Fingerboard is made of solid ebony and equipped with 20 frets and snowflake inlays. The scale is 25-1/2" long with the fingerboard radius measuring at 16" and the bone nut being 1.6875" wide. The bridge is made of solid ebony with a belly shape. The list price for this model is set at $6499.
