Artwood range is one of the most successful acoustic lines in the Ibanez catalog, and also one of the biggest. Back in the beginning Artwood encompassed a handful of models, competing in the lower intermediate class. Today, many years after its inception, Artwood has grown and matured into a multi-divisional range encompassing acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars of all price classes from the beginner to custom shop level. Artwood Vintage is one of the most recent additions, and for 2015, it has been enriched with a pair of vintage-styled parlor models. AVN2 is one of them. It comes with a non-cutaway body made of solid mahogany (back, sides and top are all made of the solid mahogany). V-shaped neck is also made of mahogany. Open Pore Natural (other brands might refer to this type of finish as matte) is the only color option available for the vintage-styled AVN2. Rosewood bridge with a compensated bone saddle, X bracing under the top, and the subtle herringbone rosette bring the vibe of the golden age of acoustics. 18-fret fingerboard is, next to the bridge, the only major part made of rosewood. It features dot inlays, bone nut and vintage-sized frets. Open-geared Grover tuners complete the major specs list.
