Parlor or the New Yorker, as it is otherwise known, is one of the most traditional guitar body shapes still in wide use. Thus it is the perfect model to properly display and carry the features of the Artwood Vintage Thermo Aged series. AVN9 is a "9" tier model, so it only features Thermo Aged top (Thermo Aging is Ibanez`s term for high-temperature aging, torrefaction), with back and sides being made of regular wood. Back, sides and top are all made of mahogany (top is solid). The V-shaped mahogany neck (with 18-fret rosewood fingerboard on its top) is attached to the body at the 12th fret (like the parlors of the golden age of acoustics). Other important features include a solid rosewood bridge (with Advantage bridge pins) and bone string nut.
