AEG series deals with modern acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. All of the models sport the single-cut version of Ibanez`s own AEG body shape (which is mostly similar to the auditorium and grand auditorium shapes), a compact, slender, player-friendly body shape. AEG24II comes in with a 2-3/4" deep cutaway body, glued-in neck (attached at 14th fret), and combined Fishman/Ibanez electronics. Transparent Gray Burst High Gloss is currently the only available color option. Core construction features include a laminated mahogany body (back, sides), flamed maple top (two-piece top, black binding), mahogany neck (AEG profile, dovetail joint), and rosewood fingerboard (21 frets, dot inlays, 1.69" nut, 15.75" radius). Major hardware & electronics appointments include a solid rosewood bridge, gold die-cast tuners, and combined Ibanez/Fishman electronics unit.
