HM 87 is one of the upscale models from Hofner`s Master Series line of classical acoustic guitars. This elite line of nylon-stringers offers the best materials and features Hofner can currently offer. HM 87 is a non-cutaway guitar with fully acoustic construction. Natural color is it`s only option and it comes finished in high gloss. Also, Hofner installs a set of gold-plated tuning pegs on the headstock in three-a-side pattern. Body is made of walnut back and sides, while the top is made of spruce. Multi-ply binding and classical rosette decorate the top on this one. There is no pickguard installed. Bridge section is a standard one with regular rosewood-made bridge. Mahogany neck is topped with a 19-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
