001 opens up the 00 series of acoustic guitars from Collings Guitars. This model comes with a non-cutaway body made of mahogany back and sides with sitka spruce top. The top on this model is equipped with tortoise binding, tortoise pickguard and triple circle rosette. On the inner side of the sound board, the bracing pattern applied is a prewar scalloped one. This is one of the most common traits among Collings acoustic models. The bridge is made of ebony and it features pyramid shape, ebony string pins and bone saddle. Mahogany neck is attached to the body at the 12th fret and it`s topped with an ebony fingerboard. 20 frets are accompanied by dot position inlays and 1-13/16" bone string nut. 25-1/2" scale and nickel-plated Waverly tuners complete the specs list.
