000 series from Collings brings compact-sized acoustic guitars with a tone as strong as the dreadnought or jumbo guitars. 0001 opens up the series and it comes with a non-cutaway 000 body made of mahogany back and sides with a sitka spruce top. The top is equipped with some of the usual options for Collings guitars, tortoise binding, tortoise pickguard and triple circle sound hole rosette. As it is the case on a majority of Collings acoustics, the bracing for this model is laid out in prewar scalloped pattern. The neck is made of mahogany and it features a neck joint at the 12th fret. Ebony fingerboard comes with 20 frets, dot position inlays and 1-13/16" bone nut. 25-1/2" scale and nickel plated Waverly tuners complete the specs list.
