Brown Sunburst
The FG series is a sub-segment of the worldwide popular F range. It is the home to a range of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars (amplified ones have the FGX designation) with dreadnought bodies (dubbed "The Traditional Western Body Style" by Yamaha), vintage styling, and modern construction (priarily, Yamaha`s F models have modern scalloped bracing). Main features of this affordable dread inlcude a non-cutaway body (flame maple back & sides, spruce soundboard, creme binding, tortoise pickguard, vintage rosette), 14th fret dovetail neck joint (a standard joint position for full-sized steel-stringers), 25-9/16" scale, and electronics-free construction. FG740SFM is available only in Brown Sunburst, and sports a $630.00 price tag (MSRP, not the retail price). Other notable features include a nato neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, fixed rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners.
