P3FCN is the only nylon-stringed option within the Pro Series 3 and it comes with a classical single-cut body. Pro Series 1 has no nylon-stringers, which makes P3FCN the only one among fourteen novelties unveiled in fall 2012. P3FCN`s body is equipped with scalloped X bracing and dovetail joint construction. Sapele and cedar are used as body tone woods. Sapele is solid and occupies back and sides. Cedar is also solid and comes as sound board on the top. Multi-ply binding and single circle rosette decorate the top. Aesthetic theme for Pro Series 3 models is elegant and subtle, thus Takamine applies satin finish over the natural color of the wood. Also, tuning machines are plated in gold and arranged in three-a-side pattern on the headstock. Bridge section is equipped with a belly-shaped bridge made of rosewood. It also has bone saddle and black string pins. Electronics installed on this model are standard Pro Series 3 installments, Palathetic pickup and CT4B II preamp. Preamp is equipped with a three-band equalizer. African mahogany is used for the neck and this neck is topped with a 21-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
