EF77 is a model from Takamine`s recently established Specialty Shop series made of exclusive guitars. Models of this line come with exotic wood, luxurious hardware and supreme electronics. Of course, hey play like a dream. Though the dreadnoughts are dominant force within this series, Takamine chose to make EF77 as an orchestra model with non-cutaway design. This one`s an acoustic-electric, though one might be fooled into thinking that it is a fully acoustic guitar, for there is no cut for the preamp. Internally installed TLD preamp has no on-board controls. Body of this guitar is made of koa. Back, sides and top, all are made of koa. Black binding and single circle rosette decorate the top. Bridge is made of ebony and it`s matched with a 20-fret fingerboard, also made of ebony.
