SD20 is a dreadnought-shaped steel stringer from Silvertone`s acoustic guitar series, it is one of the entry models of the line. With it`s non-cutaway body and fully acoustic construction, this dread aims at beginners and players with a tight budget. Tone woods used on this one are laminated to save on the production costs and thus, on the final price of the guitar. Back and side panels of the body are made of nato, while the top is made of spruce. This naturally colored dread is decorated with black plastic pickguard and triple circle rosette. Bridge section is equipped with a regular rosewood bridge. It sports belly contour. Neck is made of mahogany, Silvertone`s favorite, and it is topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.
