Collector`s Series has a long tradition within the Ovation Guitars` catalog. It`s been introduced some four decades ago and has, since then, been in an on-and-off status, appearing periodically throughout the years. The current Collector`s Series is based on the C2078 and C2079 versions of the single-cut Lyrachord design, with the average selling price being around $1,500. Collector`s Series Deep Contour C2078AXP-WB is one of eleven C2078 options. It comes with a single-cut Lyrachord body (composite bowl in the back, solid spruce top w/waterfall bubinga veneer, ivory/abalone binding), a 5-piece mahogany/maple top (14th fret dovetail joint, 3+3 headstock), a 22-fret ebony fingerboard (25.25" scale, 10"radius), an ebony bridge, in-house Ovation electronics, and die-cast tuners.
