Martin Guitars X series is brand`s budget friendly series and it is the most populous one. All shapes from ukulele to jumbo are represented with at least one model. LX Black comes with non-cutaway designed body and mortise & tenon construction of the neck joint. However, the most prominent feature on this model is it`s shortened scale, it measures 23 inches in length. A feature friendly towards the players with shorter stature. It`s top, back and sides are made of laminated woods. Bridge is made of black richlite and equipped with a regular belly shape. Electronics are not featured on this model, for Martin opted to keep this one fully on the acoustic side of the acoustic-electric world. Natural stratabond neck is topped with a 20-fret black richlite fingerboard.
