Roosevelt Resonator CE is the only resonator model Fender has unveiled at this year`s NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. It is a gorgeous single-cut hybrid between the classic resonator and Telecaster guitar. The way it`s worked out is as follows: Single-cut resonator body with combined Fishman and Tele electronics and a neck Telecaster headstock. Dedicated tot he golden era of Hollywood, this six-string marvel features the smoky Moonlit Black Sunburst finish over the body and neck. Hardware is, as a contrast, plated in chrome. The body of this spiced-up resonator is made of laminated mahogany back and sides and a flamed maple top with hand-spun resonator cone. creme binding around the top and Fender-styled "f" holes add to the overall theme. The electronics on this model are complex, as two very different worlds are being mixed. Under the spider bridge on the resonator cone, Fender installs a Fishman Powerchip piezo pickup system, while in the neck, the good old Telecaster single-coil is selected. Two volume knobs (one for each of the pickups) also act as pickup blenders. Master tone knob completes the controls unit. C-shaped neck is made of mahogany and it features a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. Snowflake inlays, vintage-sized frets and 1.625" wide bone nut complete the fingerboard. The Telecaster headstock is bound in creme binding, painted in Moonlit Black Sunburst color and fit with a set of six vintage-styled tuning machines.
