A legend among bass players and four and five-string virtuoso, Stu Hamm has a signature model series with Washburn for quite some time now. Series covers both the acoustic and electric segments with it`s models. AB40SH is an acoustic-electric model with a classic single cutaway shaped body. It`s back and sides are made of maple and the top panel is made of spruce. Top is bound in several layers of binding and finished in high gloss. Bridge section is equipped with a monorail bridge with four separate saddles. In the electronics area AB40SH features piezo pickup/preamp combo with Buzz Feiten tuning system. Neck is made of mahogany and it features a set-in joint. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it features 24 frets with yin-yang inlays.
