EGB2S is Takamine acoustic-electric bass model from the G series. Gs are ranked below the Pros and, accordingly, cost less, but still offer authentic Takamine tone and quality. G segment is also more populous and ranks better with beginners and players on a strained budget. This particular model is one of three G basses and it comes with a single cut jumbo-shaped body. This one`s acoustic-electric with TP4T preamp installed on the shoulder of the body. Mahogany is used for the back and side panels of the body, while the spruce sits on top as the sound board. Creme binding and double circle rosette decorate the top on both the black and natural gloss color options. Bridge section is equipped with a belly-contoured rosewood bridge. 21-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood, as well.
