Starting from the low E string (the thickest string) you should place your fingers like this (this is called fingering):

- E string: Don't play this string
- A string: Press 3rd fret with your finger
- D string: Press 3rd fret with your finger
- G string: Play this string open
- B string: Press 1st fret with your finger
- E string: Press 3rd fret with your finger

Now strum the strings one by one and make sure that every tone rings clearly.

Tip: Floyd Rose

Tip: Floyd Rose Floyd Rose is a locking tremolo manufactured by Floyd Rose Organization that helps to keep strings in tune, while allowing rapid lowering of note pitch, so called 'dives'. This technique is heavily used in metal music, particularly in heavy metal solos. Some artists that are famous for usage of Floyd Rose Tremolo are Dimebag Darrel, Ed Van Halen, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.
