Vintage Modified Mustang for 2012 is one of five models introduced by Squier in order to refresh the Vintage Modified series roster. The aim of this series is to reach players who like modern sounding guitars disguised into vintage styled bodies. Plus Squier makes it really affordable without having to sacrifice or compromise on performance and quality. Vintage Modified Mustang comes with a classic Mustang double cutaway body made of solid basswood and finished in polyurethane gloss. Three color options are available for this model and they are: Vintage White, Candy Apple Red and Sonic Blue. Squier does not install top wood covers or bindings onto this model. Bridge section features vintage-styled floating vibrato bridge with chrome plating. Pickups department of this Mustang is equipped with a pair of Duncan Designed single coils installed in slanted positions. Controls for them include master volume, master tone and on-off switches for each pickup. Neck on this model is made of maple and it sports a standard C contour. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets, dot position inlays, 9.50" radius and 1.65" wide synthetic bone nut. This model will be featured at Summer NAMM Show 2012.
