Michael Kelly Guitars is a part of the Hansor Music along with the B.C. Rich, Rockfield Pickups and Kustom Amplifiers. The Hybrid Series in their catalog deals with the task of blending the acoustic and electric guitar into one instrument. Hybrid Special starts off with a flat top, single cutaway semi-hollow body made of quilt or spalted maple top and mahogany back and sides. Both natural and spalt burst color options are adorned with stylized "f" holes. The bridge is acoustic guitar rosewood bridge. Electronic department consists of two rockfield humbuckers and Fishman active powerchip with on-board controls. Set mahogany neck has a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and abalone block inlays. Chrome plated hardware and Grover tuners complete the spec. The list price for this model is set at $900.
