Jackson`s catalog is divided into several sections, ranging from the entry level JS to the custom-shop level USA Select series. Pro is located somewhere in the middle, between these two extremes. Also, it is a series with the toughest job in the catalog, as it has to offer professional level quality in a price frame affordable to a working musician. Pro Series Soloist SL2Q MAH is a part of the trio of new Soloist which will refresh the 2016 Pro lineup. It comes with a full 25-1/2" scale, dual SD humbuckers, simple electronics and Jackson/Schaller hardware. The body of this masterfully constructed Soloist is made of mahogany wings on the sides and maple neck in the middle. The neck is a one-piece with speed contour in the back and an ebony fingerboard on top. 24 jumbo frets with Piranha inlays, 1-11/16" locking nut and compound 12" to 16" radius complete the fingerboard. Seymour Duncan`s TB-6B/SH-6N set is passive and harnessed through a straightforward controls unit (master volume, master tone, 3-way toggle switch). Though simple, this particular electronics set is very versatile and robust. Double-locking Floyd Rose bridge and Jackson tuners complete the specs list.
