RG7420 is simple, black and deadly vicious metal axe from Ibanez. It belongs to the RG Tremolo series, despite it`s four-digit designation. Normally, four-digit models belong to the Premium or Prestige lines, but this one is stripped down of all that is not absolutely necessary and put into the RG Tremolo line. It comes with a solid, double-cut body made of basswood. It features a flat top without a pickguard and contoured back side. Cutaway is very deep and allows an easy access to the upper frets. Black and White with gloss finish are the only color schemes available for this model. Bridge section is equipped with a seven-saddle Edge tremolo bridge. In it`s front, Ibanez installs a pair of their own passive AH-7 humbuckers. They come with master volume, master tone and three-position blade switch. Neck is made of three pieces of maple and walnut and it`s topped with a standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.
