Artstar range is one of the most successful jazz guitar series on the market and of course, one of the most important ranges in Ibanez catalog. It is claimed by Ibanez that these guitars are worth twice their price and rich specs lists confirm it. Tonal and playing performances of these gorgeous vintage-styled jazz boxes have led to speculations of them being worth three, four, even five times their actual price. For 2014, Ibanez inducts the exclusive Artstar Prestige range and equips it with three brand new hollow-bodied six-stringers. One of them is the magnificent AM205 model. This beautiful six-stringer rocks the double-cut design with bound and carved top and set in neck joint construction. Entire body, including the top, is made of burled mahogany. On it`s top, Ibanez installs a pretty much standard set of hardware features, including the classic two-piece bridge and a pair of Super 58 passive alnico pickups. Split volume and tone pots, two mini-switches and a three way toggle pickup switch comprise the controls. Mahogany neck is fit with the standard AM contour in the back and is topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard on the top.
