Classic Gretsch design and construction are dedicated to the revival of the 1950s and 1960s rock and roll music and styling. Being the best in what they do, Gretsch Guitars are considered a standard for rock and roll and rockabilly tone. Usually, fully hollow laminated maple bodies are paired with two Filtertron humbuckers for the unmistakable delivery, but on G6120DSW Chet Atkins Hollow Body, laminated maple is combined with DynaSonic single-coils. This gives a bit calmer and cooler tone, suitable for rockabilly, as well as jazz, blues and other styles. Single-cut body of this exceptional six-stringer is paired with a set in maple neck. On top of the neck, Gretsch installs a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Classic three-piece bridge unit, Grover tuners and 25-1/2" scale complete the specs list.
