Recent developments in ESP Guitars catalog have brought us the brand new E-II range which aims to take over where the classic ESP Standard range stopped. More than just a mere re-branding and renaming, E-II is a new definition of the ESP`s standards. New ST-2 comes with a classic design and rather simple, straightforward construction. There are four color options available - See Thru Black, Tiger Eye, Emerald Green and Reindeer Blue. Black and Tiger Eye versions come with maple fingerboards, while the green and blue feature rosewood options. All four come with glossy finish and chrome-plated hardware. Beneath all four, ESP offers a solid, double-cut body made of top class basswood back and quilted maple top. ST-2 features creme binding around the top, as well as around the headstock (all four color options feature color-matched headstocks). Floyd Rose Original bridge is featured on the top with DiMarzio`s ST2 Custom humbuckers installed in front of it. Master volume, master tone (with push/pull switch) and a 3-way toggle pickup switch comprise the controls. Maple neck is bolted to the body and features the fast and sleek U profile in the back. This classic shred machine has a 22-fret fingerboard with dot inlays (ESP logo at the 12th fret) and the mandatory locking string nut (part of the Floyd Rose bridge system). Gotoh tuners on the headstock wrap up the specs list.
