Paul Reed Smith's Custom 24 Artist is fairly good guitar. Not a brilliant one, but Custom 24 Artist will serve you until you decide it's time to go for a bit more expensive guitar. You will not go wrong if you go ahead with Custom 24 Artist.

Some say that the average is golden, and maybe that is true for Paul Reed Smith's Custom 24 Artist as well. There are musicians who would like to see more features on Custom 24 Artist, but Paul Reed Smith felt that Custom 24 Artist provides enough features for a given price and the market that Paul Reed Smith aims for. Perhaps there are better equipped guitars then this one, but Custom 24 Artist will deliver what it's built for.

The sound of Custom 24 Artist is finer than other guitars in many ways. The reason for that lays in the fact that Custom 24 Artist plays extraordinarily well through mostly any kind of amplifier which means that the sound is versatile, adaptable to various music styles and genres. Paul Reed Smith's Custom 24 Artist is easy to set up, and even easier to get used to its unique tone that easily becomes yours.

Though it could be better, action of Paul Reed Smith's Custom 24 Artist is not that bad at all. It may go out of tune when mistreated, but it's easily tuned back in no time. You won't be let down while playing Custom 24 Artist's neck. Guitar does feel a bit cheaper, but it will last you a long time, if you handle it with care that each instrument should be getting anyhow.

Some might say that Paul Reed Smith didn't go all the way in providing a reliable and durable instrument, but Custom 24 Artist isn't that bad. It will serve you well most of times, though you should be wary and have backups in situations where you feel Custom 24 Artist might let you down, such as gigs and studio sessions.
