RG821BK is placed within the RG Fixed series in Ibanez catalog and it is a new model represented for 2012 NAMM Show. It starts off with American basswood body with a flat top and double cutaway. It is available only in black color with gloss finish. This model features no binding and no pickguards. The bridge on this model is Ibanez Tight End, an in-house version of hardtail construction. it is colored in cosmo black, like the rest of the hardware. The pickups on this model are two humbuckers placed in the bridge and neck positions. The controls for these pickups consist of a master volume, master tone and a three position blade switch. The neck is made of five pieces of mahogany and walnut with wizard shape and bolted joint. The fingerboard is equipped with 24 jumbo frets and offset dot position markers. The MSRP for this model is set at $920.
