It feels that Ibanez could have done better with FR1620, but still, this is a useful musical instrument. You should really give FR1620 a chance if you feel that this is a right instrument for you in this moment in time.

Ibanez could throw in a bit more features into FR1620 but this guitar is definitely a usable musical instrument. Whether it's the price cut, or Ibanez felt that simplicity is a good way to go, FR1620 is built with a limited set of features, so one needs see if it fits the need. Not the best equipped instrument, but FR1620 will do well for some musicians.

If you try playing FR1620 after an average guitar, it becomes obvious that this Ibanez deserves to be proud of making it sound so beautifully. It delivers great tone when plugged in to most amps and, versatile as it is, it will allow you to find your own tone that you will be proud of as well. Ibanez's FR1620 is surely a world class sounding instrument.

You could find a better fitted guitar, but FR1620 is ready to be played by any musician willing to take time and adjust it to his/her needs. Ibanez built a guitar that has nice finish but it lacks something that would make it feel even better. Guitar stays in tune reasonably well, if you don't force it too much, and the FR1620's neck is playable.

Some might say that Ibanez didn't go all the way in providing a reliable and durable instrument, but FR1620 isn't that bad. It will serve you well most of times, though you should be wary and have backups in situations where you feel FR1620 might let you down, such as gigs and studio sessions.
