Precision, the grandad of all solid-bodied electric basses, is almost seventy years old but it still inspires new generations and shapes the new styles of music. The latest Precision models belong to the Player series, a newly-established middle-class series. There are only two P Bass models available through the Player line, Player Precision Bass and Player Precision Left-Handed. The right-hand option comes in with a solid and flat alder body, standard four-bolt neck joint, Player Series pickup (Player Series Alnico 5 Split Single-Coil), and stock hardware. The color palette includes seven options, six solid and one sunburst (3-Color Sunburst). Other notable features include a maple neck (modern C profile), 20-fret fingerboard (maple and pau ferro options are available), hardtail bridge, and open-gear tuning machines.
