ESP`s Stream series is somewhat reminiscent in shape and size of the legendary Fire/Thunder birds from the Gibson/Epiphone flock. But, make no mistake, ESP`s are a completely different breed, having their own distinct voice, appearance and attitude. A lot of Stream models, in both the four and six-string divisions, are making their debut at 2016 NAMM in Anaheim, Ca. one of them is the low-budget Stream-205 which will take its place as one of the most affordable LTD five-string basses. It offers passive electronics, bolt-on construction, exceptional build quality and great tone. Stream-205 is a simple workhorse instrument, a great option for both the inexperienced and experienced players. It rocks a solid and single-cut mahogany body with carved top and very deep cutaway. It is partnered with a bolted maple neck (three-piece neck) with Thin U profile in the back and a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (XJ frets, block inlays, 1.77" molded nut and 15.75" radius). A set of two stock pickups - ESP Designed soapbars - with a compact controls unit delivers a bit more variety and tonal quality than it may be initially expected, giving this five-string bonus points for versatility. Top load LTD bridge and die-cast LTD tuners complete the specs list.
