The Grammy winning singer-songwriter, Jeff Tweedy is the newest member of Martin`s Custom Artist series. This series sports only exclusive models made in cooperation with world-class guitarists. Price tags often go up to several thousands of dollars within the Custom Artist line. This series has both acoustic and acoustic-electric models which suit the style and preferences of the artists they are named after. 00-DB Jeff Tweedy model is a fully acoustic, non-cutaway guitar. It comes with Martin`s 00 size and it`s made of solid FSC certified mahogany body. Back, sides and top are made of mahogany. And they are paired with a mahogany neck, which is also FSC certified. Body top is bound in brown tortoise binding and features a Style 18 sound hole rosette. The pickguard featured on this model is a tortoise one. The bridge is made of FSC certified black richlite and it comes with belly shape, black string pins and bone saddle. There are no electronics featured on this model, but it can be optionally installed. Mahogany neck is equipped with a modified V contour and mortise & tenon joint. The fingerboard on this model is made of black richlite and it comes with 20 frets, Foden style corian dot inlays and 1.75" wide bone nut. Other features include: hybrid spruce bracing, 25-2/5" scale, gloss body finish, satin neck finish and nickel hardware. The MSRP for 00-DB Jeff Tweedy model is set at $2,999.
