412e-R is one of the latest additions to the vast acoustic section of Taylor`s catalog. It belongs to the "intermediate" 400 series (400 series, though an intermediate series of Taylor`s acoustic range, is almost a boutique-level line of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars). It is a grand concert model (all standard grand concert models bear the "12" designation). Also, it is an acoustic-electric guitar (the letter "e") with rosewood back and sides (the letter "R"). Taylor makes this one only in Natural and with the $2,099 price tag. Other notable features include a solid Sitka spruce soundboard (white binding, tortoiseshell pickguard), a mahogany neck (14th fret dovetail joint), a 20-fret ebony fingerboard (1.75" Tusq nut, 25.5" scale), an ebony bridge, ES2 electronics, and Taylor tuners.
