EG536SHB is a model from Takamine`s G department and Dreadnought Series within it. This dreadnought was introduced at the NAMM Show 2012 along with the other Takamine novelties for this year. 536 is envisioned as a successor of some of the most famous models from the golden age of acoustic guitars, but in a completely modern package and ready for 21st century. EG536SHB starts off as a non-cutaway dreadnought made of rosewood back and sides with a solid spruce made top. 536 is only available in natural color with gloss finish. Top is bound in creme and features no pickguards. The bridge on this dreadnought is made of rosewood and equipped with belly shape, white string pins and white, plastic saddle. amplification on this model is entrusted to a combination of an under-saddle piezo pickup and TP4T preamp with a shoulder-mounted control panel. Control panel features bass, mid and treble sliders, gain knob and a chromatic tuner with LED display. Easy access battery compartment is also featured on the control panel. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and equipped with 20 frets with dot position inlays. The MSRP for EG536SHB is set at $1,079.99.
