G3500 is the most affordable of all five Acoustic Collection models from Gretsch Guitars. It shares a lot of features with it`s bigger and more expensive brothers, but due to the affordability some compromises had to be made along the way. For starters, G3500 is a non-cutaway folk shaped acoustic guitar with a body made of laminated mahogany back and sides and laminated spruce top. This folk guitar is available in natural color with polyester gloss finish. The top is adorned with a tortoise shell pickguard and a unique triangular sound hole, which is a sort of a hallmark of Rancher guitars. In the bridge department, there is a rosewood bridge with white pins and a compensated synthetic bone saddle. As this is a fully acoustic model, there are no pickups, preamps or mics built on or inside the guitar. The neck is made of mahogany and attached to the body at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of rosewood, which is a standard for the entire Ranger line, and equipped with21 frets with a set of dot position inlays. The string nut measures at 1.6875" of width, hardware is nickel, tuners die-cast and bracing has a scalloped X pattern. The MSRP for G3500 Rancher Folk is set at $360.
