Gibson Traditional Southern Jumbo

Round Shoulder Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Gibson

Traditional Southern Jumbo by Gibson
Vintage Sunburst

Based on the cult J-45 platform from the Round Shoulder series, Traditional Southern Jumbo is released for the autumn 2014. This vintage-styled acoustic comes with a non-cutaway body and a full range of vintage-styled specs and appointments. It is made for all the acoustic blues and country music enthusiasts who desire a thoroughbred southern Gibson. Despite the word Jumbo in the name, this traditional six-stringer is a dreadnought guitar with rounded shoulders. It is a non-cutaway guitar made of mahogany and spruce. Spruce is used for the sound board, while the back and sides are made of mahogany. Bracing is also spruce-made. Classic rosewood bridge with belly contour and TUSQ saddle is installed on the top. In front of it, there`s a "teardrop" tortoise shell pickguard. L.R. Baggs element pickup is installed "under the hood" of this mighty southern steel-stringer. There is no dedicated preamp installed with it, nor there are any other electronics elements. V-shaped mahogany neck is attached at the 14th fret and has a standard 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Traditional Southern Jumbo guitar doesn`t come cheap, the MSRP is set at $3,049.
