Jumbo Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Gibson

HP 735 R by Gibson
Antique Natural

HP 735 R belongs to the newly created HP series, being its second-most expensive model ($2,349). It rocks slim body construction, cutaway, advanced electronics and unparalleled playability. It was introduced this January at 2017 NAMM Show (in Anaheim, Ca). HP 735 R starts off with a flat-top dreadnought body made of rosewood back and sides with Sitka spruce soundboard on top. The classic combination yields a strong, complex tone, with rich low end and fantastic projection. Multi-layered black & white binding, HP tortoise pickguard and abalone rosette decorate the top. One-piece neck is made of mahogany and features the modern Advanced Response back profile. 20-fret rosewood fingerboard sits on its top. Notable hardware and electronics features include a rosewood bridge (w/TUSQ saddle), LR Baggs electronics and Grover tuners.

This is the guitar use at my Dad's retirement community where I help with church services and "practice" sessions of various types of music/sing alongs. It has that great Gibson low end and clear high notes; it projects well without being plugged in, and is good when plugged in. Fingering is easy-my Dad can play it some, although his hands are pretty bound up. Great guitar especially for the price.
