In terms of tradition, Gibson`s SJ models are in a league of their own. 200, also known as the king of the flat-tops and it`s little brother, the 100, have pretty much shaped the blues and country music into what we now know and love. SJ-100, though a supporting model to the legendary SJ-200, has been played by countless blues and country masters and is making a big return in 2015. It comes with a completely revamped specs list from the 1941 model. This includes the construction, design, hardware, styling, as well as the iconic tone. Solid mahogany is used for the back and side panels, while the top is made of solid spruce. This combo gives a deep and rich tone with a strong and clear projection. Vintage Sunburst and Antique Natural are available color options for this non-cutaway beauty. Vintage 1939 bridge is featured on this one. It`s made of rosewood and has a TUSQ saddle. Beneath it, there`s an L.R. Baggs Element pickup ready to transfer your SJ-100`s tone to the amplifier with an unbelievable fidelity. Mahogany neck is fit with a 14th fret dovetail joint and a nice and chunky rounded contour in the back. On the top, there is a rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets, dot inlays and 1.725" wide string nut. Set of white button tuning machines wraps the specs list for this beauty. The MSRP is set at pretty high $2,999.
