When talking about exclusivity and limited runs, one of the champions is this year`s GPCPA Koa with a run of only fifteen copies. These will be distributed only through dealers which were present at this winter`s NAMM Show in Anaheim, Ca. This model was uncovered together with all of Martin`s novelties for 2012. It kicks off with a grand concert cutaway body made of solid, highly flamed koa back and sides with solid spruce top. The top is bound in solid Madagascar rosewood binding, and features style 28 sound hole rosette. There are no pickguards on this model. It comes in natural color with gloss finish. The bridge is made of solid black ebony and sports performing artist belly shape and fossilized mammoth ivory string pins and saddle. In the electronics department, Fishman F1 Aura Plus setup is in command. It features master volume and master tone knobs mounted onto the side of the body. The neck is made of solid mahogany and features performing artist contour with a dovetail joint set at 14th fret. The fingerboard matches the bridge, and is made of solid ebony. It sports 20 frets with tree of life inlays and 1-3/4" bone nut. The MSRP for GPCPA Koa is set at $11,999.
